Long Shadow - Long time no speak

Hello my dear subscribers!

I’ll start with an apology. I have neglected you. I’d like to say it’s because I’ve been busy in the studio finishing off the album, gigging and writing, and that is all true, but to be entirely honest, I forgot I had a mailing list.

Things are getting exciting here. The album IS nearly finished. I’m working on artwork, sourcing CD manufacturing and booking a launch show, which you should all come to. I will of course (now I’ve remembered you exist) tell you all about that as details become clearer.

Earlier in March I released Long Shadow. It’s a lovely Country-ish number that whilst giving the impression its about heartbreak, longing and alcoholism, was actually inspired by a time I lost my breath and got indigestion cycling up a big hill. But it’s still pretty heartbreaky.

Please do go listen to it on your chosen streaming platform. Add it to your playlists and while you’re there, give the other singles another listen. Every stream counts in the battle against The Great Algorithmo!

The Folly Sessions

This seems like an age ago now, but back in October I went out in the woods with a handful of underpowered mobile phone cameras and some fairy lights to record a little live acoustic set.

Things to look forward to

Well, there’s a lot but not much comes with details. You’ll have to trust me.

I have one more single to release before the album drops, but I’m going to try and get all of that done in short order and before the Summer.

The album release is coming and it’s going to be fantastic. I can’t wait for you to hear the labours of the last couple of years hard work. As I mentioned, there’ll be a launch event which I’d love you to get to, but there’ll also be plenty of opportunity to buy the album online or at gigs. I might even do exclusive pre-orders with early-access.

A tour! I’m still working on this but I’m planning on getting around the country later this year for my first UK tour! You will of course have all the details as soon as I remember your existence.
